Women’s basketball preliminary squad named

This newly formed squad is looking for continued success at Varsity

The preliminary squad for the Women’s basketball has been named and captain Carla Meijen believes her squad, which is the only one left in a cup competition in Staffs (semi final), have what it takes to beat Keele.

“The team is an international mix of experienced players and players new to the game and is characterized by effort, everyone is eager to learn and we are growing as a team.

“The team is improving every week, and after a slow start we have really picked it up.

“We are doing well at home, and if we keep this up, we are expecting to do well against Keele and make it an exciting game with a good crowd out there!”
